A staffed nursery is available at all Sunday worship services and on Christmas Eve. Parents are assigned pagers so staff can contact them if a problem occurs.
Children in the Worship Services
At Good Shepherd we delight in the presence of children and welcome them to worship with us. We know that infants and toddlers are bound to make a certain amount of noise, especially when they become finicky or cranky. Those noises don't bother us Ñwe're here to help you raise up your children in the faith, and the best way for kids to learn how to worship God is by sharing worship with us. However, a staffed nursery for infants through preschoolers is available at all Sunday worship services and on Christmas Eve, for times when parents need help.
To help children participate in worship, we periodically provide rhythm instruments for Music and Motion, inviting all children present to lead us in song. Children are invited to help their parents usher, light the altar candles, read the Bible lessons, receive the Sunday offering and bring the bread and wine to the altar. Pastor also offers a children's sermon every Sunday, just after the noisy offering. Quiet toys, children's bulletins and activity packets are also available at the Welcome Center, in the lobby, for children of any age.
