Council and Committees
Church Council
The Church Council is the congregation's governing body, meeting the fourth
Monday of the month; positions are nonrenewable, three year terms. Three
Church Council positions are filled at the Annual Meeting of the Congregation,
the last Sunday in February. These positions share significant responsibilities,
the only positions at Good Shepherd that require prior membership in the
congregation. Leaders are expected to model a life of discipleship, involving
regular participation in Sunday worship, Bible study, daily prayer, and
sharing their time, talents and treasure within or beyond our church.

Committees and Action Teams
Good Shepherd members serve on a number of standing committees and special-purpose
action teams, including the Faith Formation/Education planning team, the
Stewardship committee, the Outreach/Evangelism committee, the Worship
planning team, and the Natural Church Development team. If you have a
heart for the mission of one of these committees, new members are always
welcomed! Please contact the Church Office for more information about
these committees.
