Gift Bibles
We give Bibles to children when they enter the third grade, so that they can begin to read their Sunday School lessons at home, on their own. Bibles are presented during the worship service on Reformation Sunday, the last Sunday of October, as we celebrate the birth of both the Protestant Reformation and the Lutheran Church, and commemorate Martin Luther's first translations of scripture into the native language of common people.
If you've begun to worship with us after Reformation Sunday and you or your child have no Bible of your own, please contact Pastor Jim to arrange a time for us to present one.
