Nursery
|
A staffed nursery for infants through preschoolers leads children in age appropriate lessons and songs during Sunday School, at all Sunday worship services and on Christmas Eve. When you register your child with the Nursery Coordinator, you'll be assigned a pager so we can contact you if your child is having a difficult time or appears to be ill. For their safety, children may not leave the nursery unescorted. You're invited to return for your child during the sermon hymn, so he or she may receive a blessing at the altar during Holy Communion. Those who use the nursery on a regular basis are asked to take a turn as a nursery aide, to insure that we have an appropriate child-adult ratio. To provide a safe and healthy environment for all children in the nursery, we are able to serve only well children. What may be a simple cold to one child could lead to more serious illness for another. If your child has a fever of 100 degrees or higher, a cough, diarrhea, vomiting, or a rash, we ask that you keep your child home or seek another alternative for care. If your child is approaching an age where the nursery is no longer appropriate, begin encouraging them to experience worship with you. To help you, at the Welcome Table there are always quiet toys, activity packets and children's bulletins focusing on the Sunday lessons. |
