It's a once in a lifetime experience.
There used to be a guy on the Ed Sullivan Show who ran around like crazy, keeping
pie plates spinning on poles while he juggled bowling pins. I think I know how
he felt. We're doing ministry at Good Shepherd like we always have: planning
Vacation Bible School and Sunday School, counseling people in need, praying
for the sick, leading Sunday worship, serving at Community Kitchen. At
the same time, we're wrapping up construction on this incredible
center for ministry at 112th and Quincy, canvassing the neighborhood, planning
to move out of the storefront and the Corpus Christi Center and into our new
church home, then invite, host and celebrate an open house and dedications.
You'll want to be part of all this. It's the culmination of over fourteen
years of hopes and dreams, work and sacrifice - and an incredible opportunity
to introduce your church to the community. You can help:
- the grounds crew with plantings
- move equipment from the storefront and Corpus Christi
- final construction clean up inside the new building
- host and celebrate Saturday's Houseblessing, luncheon and Open House and Sunday
worship
Find a place for your passion. We're only moving into this building once!

See, I have set the land before you; go in and take possession of the land that I swore to your ancestors, to Abraham, to Isaac, and to Jacob, to give to them and to their descendants after them. Deuteronomy 1:8
