Sunday Servants

Lutherans think of liturgy as "the work of the people" as we offer our worship and praise to God, so all worshipers are expected to participate actively in the liturgy. But someone needs to lead. A distinctive characteristic of Good Shepherd is the number and variety of people who take on leadership responsibilities in our worship services ushering, setting up the sanctuary, reading the Scripture lessons, helping distribute communion, setting up or cleaning up communion, providing music, conducting the liturgy. We are always seeking to broaden participation even more by inviting all members, old and new, to consider taking a turn in one of these leadership roles. If God is calling you to serve in this way, speak to Pastor Jim or Tom Ludwig, or note your interest on a blue Faithworks form and put it into the Sunday offering, or contact the church office at 772-4075 or nancy.gslc@sbcglobal.net.
