Worship is central to the life of Good Shepherd. We celebrate Holy Communion every Sunday, inviting all the baptized to share the Lord's Supper with us, sharing our belief that Christ is present in, with and under the bread and the wine.

Sunday worship services include Marty Haugen's Now the Feast and Celebration and Tree of Life liturgies, seasonal variations of settings 1 and 2 from the Lutheran Book of Worship, and our New Praise! worship service of more contemporary Christian song. Ash Wednesday and Good Friday services are rooted in the gentle, haunting beauty of music from Taize, contemplative songs of prayer that feature easy-to-learn, thoughtful refrains, based in words of scripture. The 5:30 pm Good Friday service is held indoors; the 7:00 pm CrossWalk is held entirely outdoors. Marty Haugen's Holden Evening Prayer serves as Lenten Vespers. On Palm Sunday we offer Walt Wangerin's Cry of the Whole Congregation, a deeply moving, participatory drama involving the entire congregation. Easter Sunday is a Resurrection Celebration sharing powerful scripture readings and the best of traditional and contemporary song. The Christmas Eve candlelight service and Christmas Day service are composed entirely of Christmas carols.
