Tapestry Women's Group
Tapestry
Centered in Christ,
we strive to use God’s gifts to weave relationships among women,
while feeding the mind, body and soul.
All women of Good Shepherd are members of Tapestry,
a ministry that organizes events for women of all ages to be able to connect
with each other. We are a diverse group with different backgrounds, different
interests, and different ages who all come together to form one group,
as a tapestry, to enrich our church and our lives.
Our Spring Tea is a multigenerational luncheon with
crafts, scrumptious tea treats, and a program based on our motif for that
year with lots of delightful conversation.
An overnight Fall Retreat focuses on a different faith
theme each year. Meals are shared, crafts, group discussion time, casual
conversation and contemplative time all grow our mind, body and soul as
we grow closer to our God.
In December we gather for a Christmas dinner complete
with festive decorations, a service project and a holiday theme program.
Our planning meetings are held at 7:00 pm on the third
Monday of the month at Good Shepherd's current church office, 1191 Washington
Avenue, next to Papa Romano's in the Family Fare plaza. All women are
invited to join us and offer suggestions, assistance and ideas for events.
Although we have a planning board many women take part in the preparation
of each event.
